1 Cup Butter
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 1/4 Cup Flour
3/4 Cup Cornstarch
3 Tbs. Orange Juice
1/2 tsp. Almond Extract
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter & 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
Add in almond flavoring.
Beat in flour and corn starch.
Wrap bowl and chill.
Roll into circles and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes.
Beat remaining powdered sugar (1 1/2 cups) with orange juice until creamy. Pour a dollop of icing on each cookie. For fun, I sometimes used food coloring to make the icing colors to match shower themes, birthday parties, holidays.... be creative!
These cookies are perfect for showers and parties, but mostly they are just plain delicious! Buttery, creamy, yummmmm!
